| Mr. Maurice Sax, and Mr. Peter Thomas Tiedemann incorporated Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home in 1924. The Funeral Home originally was a storefront business located on the Southeast Corner of Franklin Avenue and Atlantic Street in Franklin Park. In 1928, the Business moved across the street into a "new" location. In 1929 Mr. Tiedemann purchased the business from Mr. Sax and became the sole owner of the funeral home. Pictured is the first "funeral home," built in 1895. |

This is how Sax-Tiedemann looks today. The original funeral home has been incorporated in this newer version. Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home moved to its present location at 9568 Belmont Avenue during the year of 1936. |
| The original "Town Home" can still be seen in the middle of the expanded Funeral Home. |
Sax-Tiedemann offers many different services. Our training and experience have prepared us to help, to reassure, and to understand when a family faces the loss of a loved one. We are here to replace confusion with calm, doubts with certainty, and questions with answers. Here, one finds a quiet gentleness in an atmosphere of dignity, efficiency, and trust. We offer support and guidance, not just at the time of a loss, but for as long as there is a need.
We are into our third generation of dedication to the people that we serve. The Tiedemann Family and our staff are committed to relieving the stress and easing the burden of grief of the people who depend on us, regardless of race, religion, or financial status.
We are available 365 days a year, day or night. If you are faced with a death in your family, or the loss of a friend, put your trust in the people with experience, compassion, and dedication. We have been serving our community since 1924.
