Caring mother of Eric J. (Kathy) Strand, Carl J. Strand, Irene J. Gastfield, Alan J. (Jane) Strand.
Cherished grandmother of Kyle, Kaden, Tad, Roland, Conrad, Matthew, Rebekah, Abigail, and Emily.
Dearest great grandmother to Annabelle.
Betty graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. in Business from Roosevelt University.
She partnered with her husband in building homes and worked at the Post Office until retiring.

Betty was an original member of La Leche League founded in Franklin Park.
She was active in the community as a Girl Scouts Troop Leader, Cub Scout Den Mother, substitute teacher, and proponent for local family parks.

Betty enjoyed attending Sons of Norway events, traveling with family, and playing bingo with other seniors.
