Carl R. Liture, a cherished member of his family and community, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on February 7, 1933, Carl led a life marked by love, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to his family.
He was a loving husband to Maryann (Pump) Liture, sharing many years of happiness and companionship together. As the beloved son of Helen DiCapua, Carl valued family ties and nurtured relationships that would span generations. He was a devoted father to Carolyn (Ted) Rabey, Matthew Liture, and John Liture, instilling in them the principles of kindness and compassion that defined his character.
Carl's legacy of love extended to his grandchildren, among whom he held a special place for the late Mary Holowicki, Katherine (Jimmy) Zurek, and Justin Rabey. He took pride in being a grandfather and embraced the role with joy and affection. His heart continued to grow as he became a great-grandfather to Jason (Angel), Samantha, Amelia, and Nathan, illuminating their lives with warmth and wisdom.
In addition to his family, Carl was supported by his beloved siblings. He is reunited in peace with his late sisters Ann (Attilio) Cammarato, Estelle (the late Edward) Henning, Alice (the late Nathan) Newell and Constance Liture. Carl is survived by his siblings Anthony DiCapua, Helen DiCapua Marie (the late Gene) Niemiec and Helen Newell, who cherished their lifelong bond.
To honor Carl's memory, a memorial service will be held at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral and Crematorium in Franklin Park, Illinois on February 2, 2026, starting at 9:30 AM and concluding at 11:00 AM. Following the service, a mass will take place at St. Celestine Church in Elmwood Park at 11:30 AM, culminating with an inurnment at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleum in Niles at 1:00 PM.
Carl R. Liture’s presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy endures in the hearts of his loved ones, and he will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the unwavering love he shared with those around him.
