Charles E. Smith
Passed away Monday, August 8, 2016 at the age of 98. Mr. Smith was a Sixty-Two Year resident of Franklin Park.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for five years on board the USS Carrier Nassau in the South Pacific during WWII.

Charles was the loving Husband of 67 years to his late wife, Yona.
Beloved Father of Ronald (Jeanne) and Linda (Jim) Kaszubowski.
Proud Grandfather of Myles III, Derek, and Shane. Great Grandfather of Myles IV, Morgan, Jake, Kyle, and Nicole.
Adored brother of Patricia Kelly, the late Harold Smith, Mary Lawler, Dorothy Lawler, Rose Komen, Regina Yeoman, Rita Olson, and Anthony Smith.
A special thank you to his caretaker of seven years, Rosie and dear friend and Guardian Angel, Jose Cruz.

Visitation Friday, August 12, 2016 from 2:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home & Crematorium, 9568 Belmont Ave. Franklin Park.

Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 8:30 until time of prayer 9:30 am before going to St. Cyprian Church for mass at 10:00 am.

Entombment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
