Cynthia Kujat

Cynthia (Cindi) Marie Kujat (Impastato), 71, was born on August 2nd, 1955, in Melrose Park IL. 
She was the beloved daughter of the late Richard and the late Georgia Impastato. 
She was the dear sister of Rickie Impastato, Kenneth (Alicia) Impastato, Steven (Dawn) Impastato, and the late Renee Dein. 
She was also a dear sister-in-law to many.

In 1980 Cynthia met Richard Kujat, they married on October 24, 1981, and celebrated 44 wonderful years of marriage together. 
They were great Elvis fans and took their honeymoon in Memphis Tennessee to see Graceland. 
Cindi and Richard went on to have four children together. 
She was a very devoted Mother to Christopher (Jennifer) Kujat, Michael (Leslie) Kujat, Tina (Tommy) Thompson, and Tiffany (Joel) Calderon. 
She was the cherished Grandmother to seven beautiful grandchildren; Lauren, Emily, Chase, Bernardino (Nino), Madison, Joel Jude (JJ) and Cynthia (Cici). 
Cindi adored all of her grandchildren and was very involved and supportive in their daily lives, and her grandchildren absolutely adored her as well. 
Throughout the years she was a pet mom to many dogs and cats. 
She is the fond aunt and great aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Cynthia worked for many years in data entry at Maywood Racetrack for RICF (Racing Industry Charitable Foundation), retiring over 10 years ago. 
Cynthia was a dear friend and neighbor to many people. 
She was a kind, caring, loving, beautiful, outgoing, funny and dedicated woman who always put others before herself.

Cynthia enjoyed going out to dinner and the movies with her loving husband Richard. 
Her passion was shopping and she loved to find a good sale or clearance section. 
She loved the holidays and going to community events. 
She enjoyed watching the hallmark channel, dancing with the stars, American idol and award shows. 
She also enjoyed camping, coloring, crafts, painting and diamond art. 
Most recently Cindi volunteered making sleeping mats out of grocery bags for the homeless. 
She was very proud of the work she was doing and loved to show everyone. 
Her specialty was falling asleep anywhere at any time.

There are a lot of wonderful memories of Cynthia. 
She was very loved and will be missed by many people. 
She had a beautiful heart and we will always carry her with us.

A wake will be held on Monday September 21, 2026, from 3:00pm until 8:00pm
at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home at 9568 Belmont Avenue, Franklin Park, IL, 60131.
The funeral will commence at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral home on Tuesday September 22, 2026, 10:00am, with prayers at 11:30am, and Entombment at Elmwood Cemetery to immediately follow.
