Loving wife of Robert Zurek.
Beloved daughter of Cecil and Adeline Stricklin.
Devoted mother to Robert (Kimberly) Zurek and Deborah (Robert) Reid.
Cherished grandmother to Gilbert (Araly) Sanchez and Amanda and Rebecca Zurek.
Loving great-grandmother to Kaylee and Kayson Sanchez.
Dear sister of Donna Stricklin and sister-in-law to Darlene (Robert) Diederich.
Fond aunt, cousin, and friend to many.
Darlene was a graduate of East Leyden High School and a long-time dedicated employee of River Grove Public Library.
She was an active supporter of Rhodes School and PTA as well as a Boy Scout and Campfire Girl leader.
As a lifetime Tops member Darlene was crowned Southern Illinois Tops Queen.
An avid crafter and painter, her work brought smiles to many faces.
In lieu of flowers, mass intentions are appreciated.
