Dolores or 'Dolly' was born into a typical depression era family. She was the youngest of six children. Things were rough back then and she started working at a very young age to help support her family. During that time she learned the value of money.
Dolly met her first husband, Curtis, while she was in her early 20's. They soon were married and had two children, Carey and Kirk. It was during that period of time in the early 60's, that she was convinced to join the Rebekah's Lodge. The Lodge recognized her extreme ability to talk and within a short period of time they elected her Noble Grand of the Lodge.
Dolores was always willing to help a person in need. Sh would take them into her home and get them back on their feet.
Dolly was an animal lover; dogs, cats and birds. her favorite dogs were Chihuahuas.
She enjoyed Rock and Roll music and dancing to it.
She met her second husband, Tim, in the early 70's. They had one child, Tim, Jr.
They enjoyed vacationing together.
Until Dolly had open heart surgery in 1990, she worked as a waitress and then a bartender. She was an excellent waitress, handling many tables at once. After her surgery, Dolly was unable to work.
Dolores spent most of her time reading and with her children and her two grandchildren, Laura and Timmy.
Being the youngest of six children she has been a fond Aunt and great Aunt of many.
Dolly will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
