Donald Joseph Borrini went home to the Lord on May 4, 2020 at the age of 89. He was born August 5, 1930 to the late Ginevra and Natalino Borrini in Chicago, Illinois. Married 62 years to the late Joanne (Rose) Borrini. Donald was a loving father to his daughters, Linda (Carlos) Reynes, Paula (Hans) Larsen, Doreen (Doug) Michalak. He was a loving brother to the late Bruce Borrini (Laura), and Randall Borrini (the late MaryEllen). Loving and adoring grandpa, gamp, papa, pop pop to Claire, Erin, Grace, Alex (Laura), Celeste, Douglas, Lily, and Mia. A loving uncle to Jennifer, Natalie, Joey, Andrea and Nicola. Donald was a dedicated and loving son to his parents who immigrated to Chicago from Altopacio, Italy shortly before his birth. He grew up in and around Chicago surrounded by the love of relatives and close family friends whom had immigrated prior. He graduated from East Leyden High School and thereafter attended trade school for carpentry. Married in 1958 and soon after started the most important role, to him, as a husband and father. Donald served and was honorably discharged from both the National Guard of Illinois in 1953 and Armed Forces of the USA in 1961. He established Donn Construction Company in the 1960's. He also had a passion for cooking, and all who shared in his feasts could feel the love. He was a true and loyal friend to many. His spirit, filled with love and his life lessons will live with us for the rest of our lives and be passed down for generations. May he rest in comfort with his loved ones whom have gone before him and in the arms of the Lord. Donald will be laid to rest in Elmwood Cemetery, Elmwood Park, IL.
