Age 78

Donald Edward Kincanon, 78, of Sevierville, TN, raised in Chicago, IL, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025. A devoted family man, proud union leader, and loyal friend, Donald's legacy is one of strength, humor, and unwavering love.

Donald was the beloved husband of Adrenna Gayle Kincanon for 48 years, and the cherished son of the late Grover and Florence Kincanon. He was the devoted father of Traycee (John) Cosenza, Shawn Kincanon, and Ryan Kincanon. He took great pride in being Grandpa to Anthony and Stephanie Cosenza, and Benjamin, Kayleigh, Aiden, and Isaac Kincanon.

He is also survived by his loving sister Patricia Logan, and is preceded in death by his brothers Thomas and Robert Kincanon. Donald was a fond uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a friend to all who had the joy of knowing him.

Donald spent over 40 years as a proud union steelworker, where he also served as Secretary and later President of his local union chapter. His strong work ethic and leadership were deeply respected.

In his younger years, he spent countless days playing baseball and softball, and was a passionate supporter of his children’s sports. A lifelong fan of Chicago sports, especially the Cubs and Bears, Donald also loved to fish—something he continued to enjoy up until just two years ago.

Later in life, he found joy in slot machines and the companionship of his beloved pets. From parrots to dogs, he was never without a furry friend. Known for his sharp wit and warm heart, Donald had a natural gift for making people laugh—his playful teasing and clever jokes were a hallmark of his personality.

A memorial service to celebrate Donald’s life will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home, Franklin Park, IL. from Noon-3PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the ASPCA, an organization close to Donald’s heart.
