Donna Marie Sell (nee Collins) of Northlake, passed away on April 16, 2026.
Born in Chicago on March 24, 1936, to Madeleine Ann Collins (nee DeAndre') and William Thomas Collins. Donna was a devoted mother to Edward, Jr. (Catalina), Lucinda (Clarence), Elizabeth (Daniel), Matthew (Regina), and Colette (Pete).
Donna was a cherished Grams to Danielle (Philip), C. Paul III (Wendy), Daniel IV (Angela), Philip, Kimberly (Jim), Jonathan (Madison), Edward III, Abraham, Zachary, Gwenevere, Vivienne, Gordon and Jacob; and a beloved great-grandmother to Orchid, Dahlia, Daniel V, Adam, Elizabeth and Theodore. She was also the big sister of William Thomas Collins, Jr. and a fond aunt to Cindy (Patrick), Andre' (Joe), and Kevin (Ann Marie).
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; brother in laws, Herb, Roy, Robert and Herbert; her sister-in-laws, Dorothy, Grace, Carleeta and Barbara; her niece, Carole Ann, nephew, Brian and great niece Valentina.
Donna was very involved in her children's activities including Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Vacation Bible School. Donna was a lifelong church choir member previously at Resurrection Lutheran Church in Franklin Park, and until her death at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Lombard. Donna served as a member of WELCA, Church Council, Black Sheep Squadron Color Guard and Beta Sigma Phi. Donna loved participating in activities and performing for the Addison Active Seniors when she lived in Addison. She loved classical music, Jeopardy, playing and teaching Canasta, Scrabble and reading. Donna worked as a Secretary Extraordinaire, advancing to Office Manager and then as a beloved Receptionist until her retirement.
Sunday, April 19th will begin our celebration with fellowship at 11:00 followed by the Funeral Service at 11:30 am at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 350 E Madison Avenue in Lombard.
