Edwin Johnson

Edwin R. Johnson, age 76 of Delavan,Wi, formerly a long time resident of Franklin Park, Il, passed away Sunday September 19, 2010 at Mercy Hospital in Janesville. He was born February 17, 1934 in Chicago, the son of Edwin and Kaye (Todd) Johnson. Ed married Carol Novonty in 1961 and she preceded him in death November 19, 1997. He then married Margaret "Sue" Buerer-Robson January 9, 1999. Ed was a Postal Carrier for the U.S. Postal Service at the Franklin Park Post Office until his retirement in 1985. He belonged to the Monday night bowling league, the local church dart league and loved coaching softball. Ed was a former member of the Franklin ark Kiwanis Club and a former member of the Franklin Park School District # 84 School Board. He also served with the U.S. Army in the 1950's. He is survived by his wife Sue of Delavan; 2 daughters, Vicky (Bob) Shambarger of Il., and Sally Campbell of Al.. 5 sons; Bud Johnson of Il., Michael (Julie) Johnson of Il., Matt Robson of Il., Jon (Lorrie) Robson of Il. and Peter Robson of Il.. 10 grandchildren; Konrad, Kenny, Krista, Clara, Sophie, Reese, Mary and Katlyn Johnson. Allison (Jason) Stanley and Jennifer Campbell. One sister, Arlene Phillips of Fl. He is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife Carol. Memorial Service will be 11:00am Saturday September 25, 2010 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan with Rev. Robert P. Rickman officiating. Visitation will be from 10am to service time at the church on Saturday.
