It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth "Liz" LeClaire. Liz was a loving wife to the late Robert LeClaire and a devoted mother of the late Bobby. She is survived by her sons, James (Jeanie), Thomas (Rita), and Michael (Karie)—each of whom carry forward the remarkable legacy of their mother.
Liz’s joy was woven through her family, including her cherished grandchildren Michael, Jake, Kamryn, Samantha, Jessica and the late Kelsey, who will each eternally cherish the love and warmth she bestowed upon them.
A proud member of a large, strong, extended Irish family, Liz enjoyed growing up with her many cousins who were more like siblings to her.
A devoted member of St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Franklin Park, Liz’s faith was a foundation of her life. She was known for her unwavering gratitude for the blessings she had, and her spirit was an inspiring beacon to those around her. Liz's kindness and compassion touched many lives, and she was revered not only as a mother, grandmother, and wife but also as a friend and community member. Liz was a devoted preschool teacher at the Franklin Park Park District. She was loved and will be remembered by generations in the community.
Her family and friends will gather to honor her memory on January 9, 2026. The visitation will take place at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral and Crematorium in Franklin Park 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a Mass at St. Gertrude Catholic Church at 9613 Schiller Blvd, in Franklin Park at 12:30 PM. Liz will then be laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
As we reflect on the life of Elizabeth "Liz" LeClaire, we are reminded of the enduring love she shared and the faith that guided her. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to resonate in the lives of those she leaves behind, forever remembered with fondness and admiration.
