It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Elizabeth LeClaire, a beloved soul who graced this world from May 6, 1939, until her departure on December 24, 2025. Elizabeth was a loving wife to the late Robert LeClaire and a devoted mother whose heart was full of love for her children. She is predeceased by Robert (Bobby) LeClaire, and is survived by her sons, James and his wife Jeanie, Thomas and his wife Rita, and Michael and his wife Karie—each of whom carry forward the remarkable legacy of their mother.
Elizabeth’s joy was woven through her family, including her cherished grandchildren, whose lives were brightened by her affection. She holds a special place in the hearts of her late grandchild, Kelsey, and grandchildren Michael, Jake, Kamryn, Samantha, and Jessica, who will each eternally cherish the love and warmth she bestowed upon them.
A devoted member of St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Schiller Park, Elizabeth’s faith was a foundation of her life. She was known for her unwavering gratitude for the blessings she had, and her spirit was an inspiring beacon to those around her. Elizabeth's kindness and compassion touched many lives, and she was revered not only as a mother, grandmother, and wife but also as a friend and community member.
Her family and friends will gather to honor her memory on January 9, 2026. The visitation will take place at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral and Crematorium in Franklin Park from 9:00 AM family only, 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM for the public, followed by a Mass at St. Gertrude Catholic Church at 12:30 PM. Elizabeth will then be laid to rest at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, where she will find peace alongside her loved ones.
