Frank D. Urbanus, 85, of Schiller Park was born on February 6, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Frank A. and Loretta Urbanus.
He passed away on May 26, 2015.
Frank retired from Mueller-Climatrol Corp. in Elmhurst, IL.

Frank (Bud) was the beloved husband of the late Therese Urbanus (nee: Klemundt), dear brother of Loretta Vanderbosch (the late Charles), father of Mary (Jay) Jacobsen Jr., Patricia (the late Karl) Bahnick, Kathrine Bernaro (Raymond), Susan Mohan (William), Frank (Maryann), Elisabeth Suarez (Bert) and Thomas (Carolsue Luther). Loving Grandfather to his 15 grandchildren: Michael, Thomas, Frank W., Bridgette, Will, Brian, Marybeth, Hannah, Justin, Kristin, David, Rachel, Gregory, Andrew and Marysue. Uncle to Charles Vanderbosch and Laurie (Geoff) Fisher.

Frank (Bud) was affable, compassionate and made everyone smile when they met him. When interviewed by his youngest granddaughter for a school project earlier this year, he told her: "Buddy wasn't rich with money, but he was definitely rich with friends and family."

He loved fishing, cooking and eating out, dogs, sports and spending time with his family and friends, in addition to telling stories.

Visitation Monday, June 1, 2015 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm. at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home & Crematorium 9568 Belmont Ave. Franklin Park.

Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 8:30 am until time of prayer 9:45 am.

A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 am at St. Beatrice Church in Schiller Park.

Interment Maryhill Cemetery, Niles.
