George Voznak

George Voznak of Northlake, IL age 94. Beloved Husband of Millie, Married 63 years. Beloved father of Mike, Pat, Joe and Sandra. WWII Submarine Veteran where he earned the nickname "Fearless Voz" and earned Motor Machinist Mate First Class. Surviving 9 patrols on the U.SS. Pompon S.S. 267. Born in Chicago, raised in the Necedah/New Lisbon area of Wisconsin. After the Navy he returned to Chicago, married, and raised a family, but his heart always longed to return to Wisconsin. George was part poet, mechanical genius, with an enormous sense of humor and uncanny wit. He will be missed. "I have competed well; I have finished the race. I have dept the faith. From now on the crown of righteousness awaits me, which the Lord, the just judge will award to me on that day." 2nd Timothy 4:7
