Geraldine Hoss

On July 1, 2023, Geraldine Anne Hoss passed away peacefully at the age of 89 after a prolonged illness. Geraldine was born on March 22, 1934 in Chicago, IL to Frank and Helen Lewinski. On July 10, 1954, she married her life-long partner George Hoss and in 1961 became a life-long resident of Franklin Park where together they raised their family of four children.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband George, her mother Helen, and her father Frank. She is survived by her beloved children: Sharon Sandri, Karen Bialas (husband Michael), Jeffery Hoss (wife Janice), and Allan Hoss; seven grandchildren: Brian, Kevin, and Jason Sandri, Jonathan and Matthew Hoss, Alexis Stack (Bialas) and Eric Bialas; six great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

As an active member of her church, St. Beatrice Parish, in 2010 Geraldine was named as a recipient of the Christfideles award by the Archdiocese of Chicago for her dedication and service to the ministries of the Archdiocese. During retirement she enjoyed spending holidays and time with her family and countless chartered bus tours exploring this great country with her loving husband George and their many senior friends.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Holy Virgin Martyrs (formerly St. Beatrice Parish) at 4157 Atlantic Ave., Schiller Park, IL at 9:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
