Graziella (Grace) Alba Librizzi

March 2, 1942 — January 6, 2026

Graziella (Grace) Alba Librizzi, born on March 2, 1942, in Italy, gracefully departed from this world on January 6, 2026, in Franklin Park, Illinois. She lived a life filled with love, determination, and an unwavering spirit that touched everyone she encountered.

Grace cherished a beautiful 56-year marriage with her beloved husband, Leonardo Librizzi, who stood by her side through life's many joys and challenges. Grace was a devoted daughter to Giovanni and Rosa D’addosio, whose love and values she carried in her heart throughout her life. As a caring mother, she poured immense love into her children, Michael Librizzi and Natalie Giovanna (Pete) Skogseth, nurturing them with devotion and warmth.

As a sister, she shared a unique bond with Anna (the late Gaetano) Tangorra. Grace also has been reunited in spirit with her sister Maria "Rina" Pompilio (the late Nicola), as well as her brothers Vito, Frank, Italo, and Gino, who preceded her in death. She held each of them dear in her heart.

Grace was more than just a mother, sister, and wife; she was an extraordinary friend and an adored aunt to many. Her home was a gathering place filled with laughter, warmth, and the delicious aromas of her phenomenal cooking and baking. Cooking was not merely a task for her; it was a way of expressing her love for family and friends. Her meals were legendary, served with heartwarming stories and love that could be felt in every bite.

An extrovert at heart, Grace relished the opportunity to connect with others. Her fiery spirit and determined nature made her a remarkable conversationalist, eager to learn about others and share in their lives. Grace’s passion was evident in everything she did, from her unwavering faith in God to her deep commitment to the Catholic community that nurtured her soul.

Grace's legacy is one of profound love and connection. She embraced life with open arms, ensuring that those around her knew they were valued. The lives she touched are countless. She leaves behind a profound void, but her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
