Harriett Shay

Harriett Shay passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 24, 2016. She was the beloved wife of the late William Shay. Loving mother of William and Charles Shay. Proud grandmother of Raquel and Sophia Shay, "Aunt Harriett" to many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Rose Gostomski. She loved baking, butterflies and practical jokes. Family and friends will gather at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home & Crematorium, 9568 Belmont Ave., Franklin Park on Friday, September 30 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm for the final viewing. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at the funeral home at 10:30 am, followed by a graveside service at the Arlington Cemetery. A luncheon will follow those proceedings for those interested.
