Jeanette Mae Reyes

February 21, 1943 — November 19, 2025

Jeanette Mae Reyes, Nee Bowden, a radiant spirit who graced the world with her warmth and creativity, passed away on November 19, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on February 21, 1943, Jeanette was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love, devotion, and talents left an indelible mark on all those who had the privilege to know her.

In her life, Jeanette embodied the essence of a loving family. A devoted wife to Filomeno Reyes, she nurtured a partnership that blossomed through mutual respect and unwavering support. Together, they created a haven filled with laughter and memories that will forever echo in the hearts of their children: Marlon (Lorie), Dwight (Cindy), and Annette. Her nurturing spirit did not stop there; Jeanette cherished the joyous moments spent with her grandchildren—Melanie, Marlon Jr., Kristina, Shannon, Michael, Kevin, and Deke—and beamed with pride as she embraced her great-grandchildren, pouring her love into each generation.

Jeanette found solace in the world of crafts, pouring her heart into creations that reflected her vibrant soul. Through her deft hands, she crafted items that brought joy and color to her surroundings, embodying the warm embrace of her favorite red roses. Her culinary prowess was legendary, particularly her delightful Mississippi mud pie, a sweet treat that brought family and friends together around the dining table, where the stories flowed as freely as her delicious creations.

Her voice, rich and melodious, often filled her home, as Jeanette found joy in singing. A devout Christian, she drew strength from her faith, which served as a guiding light throughout her life. Her dedication to her beliefs and her family created an environment that was both nurturing and uplifting, inspiring all around her to embrace the beauty of life.

Jeanette leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and a commitment to family that will be honored during the upcoming services. Visitation will be held at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral and Crematorium in Franklin Park, Illinois, on November 28, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
