Jirapa Bunploog

August 10, 1939 — February 26, 2026

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Jirapa Bunploog, who departed this world on February 26, 2026, at the venerable age of 86. Born on August 10, 1939, in the beautiful land of Thailand, Jirapa's journey through life was marked by grace, resilience, and an unwavering devotion to her family.

A loving wife to Choohart Bunploog, she epitomized the essence of partnership and companionship. Together, they crafted a life rich with affection and support, an enduring testament to their love. She was a devoted mother to Anna Bunploog-Lane and June Bunploog Taheri, nurturing her daughters with boundless love and guidance that instilled within them the values she cherished.

Jirapa's legacy is further woven through the lives of her cherished grandchildren, Jaidee, Mya, Sookie, Cyrus, and Emmy Sangdao. Each grandchild was a light in her life, and she took pride in witnessing their growth and achievements, offering encouragement and warmth that only a grandmother can provide.

She shared a deep connection with her siblings, the late Jumrus, Thanomwan, the late Sakorn, Pratum, Ubol, and Narongsakdi, with whom she forged memories that spanned decades. While the loss of Jumrus and Sakorn has left a void in their family tapestry, Jirapa's gentle spirit remains a comforting presence in the hearts of all who loved her.

As an aunt and a friend, Jirapa touched the lives of many, leaving behind a legacy of kindness that rippled through every interaction. Her life was one of service; after moving to the United States in the 1960s, she dedicated her professional life to nursing, a vocation she embraced with compassion and diligence, embodying the care and support she provided to those around her.

In her later years, Jirapa discovered a passion for traveling the world, embarking on adventures that broadened her horizons and enriched her experiences. Such explorations only served to deepen her appreciation for the diverse tapestry of human existence, further reflecting her open-hearted nature.

Jirapa’s life was a rich mosaic of love, family, and devotion, encompassed by a gentle spirit that will be profoundly missed. Her family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation scheduled for March 7, 2026, at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral and Crematorium, located at 9568 Belmont Ave, Franklin Park, IL, from 10:00 AM to 12:45 PM. Following the visitation, a cremation service will commence at 1:00 PM, allowing all who knew her to come together in remembrance of a life beautifully lived.

In this time of mourning, we celebrate the life of Jirapa Bunploog, a cherished matriarch whose legacy of love will forever echo in the hearts of her family and friends.
