John Burm

John Burm, 88, of Theodosia, MO passed away on January 13, 2017 at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, AR. He was born on January 7, 1929 in Chicago, IL, the son of John P. and Antoinette (Corrado) Burm.

John was united in marriage to Concetta Gatto in September of 1950. The following May he enlisted in the Army National Guard of Illinois, where he served over six years, making the rank of Master Sergeant. John worked for many years as a crane operator for International Harvester in Franklin Park, IL. He and Connie moved to the Ozarks after retirement and made their home in Theodosia, MO. He loved fishing on Bull Shoals Lake. They enjoyed their many travels to Florida and Arkansas, parties and dancing. He and Connie enjoyed many years of dancing together, even winning a dance contest in the 1950's. John was a very beloved Uncle, who greatly loved his many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family would like to thank Eddie and Teresa for always coming to their aid!

John is survived by his wife Connie Burm; one brother Bob Burm and wife Marilyn; one sister JoAnna McKenzie; and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Antoinette Burm.

Visitation Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 PM at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home & Crematorium, 9568 Belmont Ave., Franklin Park.
Family and friends will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 8:30 am until the time of prayers 9:30 am. Mass will follow at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church in Schiller Park.
Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
