Kenneth Renfroe, born on August 31, 1937, and peacefully passing on June 11, 2026, leaves behind a profound legacy as a loving husband, devoted father, cherished grandfather, and a man whose spirit was lovingly intertwined with both family and nature. The son of the late Toxie and Myrtle Renfroe, Kenneth carried the warmth of their memory throughout his life while forging new paths marked by devotion, humor, and steadfast kindness.
As the loving husband of Wanda Renfroe, Kenneth’s heart found its truest companion for almost 57 years. Together, they built a life abounding in shared joy and quiet moments alike. His role as a father to Karen Jefferson, Kimberly Miller, and Rebecca McNeilly was embraced with unwavering dedication, nurturing his daughters with a love that shaped their lives profoundly. His pride and affection extended naturally to his grandchildren, David McNeilly and Rachel McNeilly, whose lives he touched deeply, offering not only guidance but a reservoir of tender memories.
Kenneth’s extended family bore witness to his gentle and humorous spirit. Fond uncle to Thomas Todd, Patty Martinez, Jennifer Todd, Connie Dunsmoore, and Peter Collins, he was a constant presence who uplifted and brightened the lives of those around him. His connection to family was matched only by the affection he bore for his beloved pets; past companions Snowball, Tora, Lorien, Buttons, Sunshine, Midnight, Angel, and Matika, now departed, and Bella, his living feline friend, each a testament to his deep and abiding love for animals.
A man of many talents and passions, Kenneth was an avid outdoorsman; a fisherman and hunter who felt most alive beneath open skies. His passion for unusual rock collecting hinted at a soul attuned to the quiet wonders of the natural world. Travel often took him to the shores of Orange Beach, Alabama, where he found solace and adventure in equal measure.
Kenneth’s service in the Air Force illustrated a lifetime commitment to discipline and honor, foundations upon which he built a career as a truck driver and maintenance man, a true jack of all trades. Those who knew him best remember him as a witty and funny man with a wonderful sense of humor, ever quick with a joke or a story, his laughter lighting up any room, and a great neighbor whose willingness to lend a helping hand endeared him to many.
His pride in his 1986 red Corvette spoke to a spirit vibrant and full of life, a symbol of freedom and joy, much like the man himself. Kenneth Renfroe’s life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, loyalty, and an enduring compassion for both people and the earth itself. He leaves behind a world better for his having lived in it, and his memory will forever echo in the hearts of those blessed to know him.
Per Kenneth's wishes, there will be no services. Please extend your condolences and donations directly to the family.
