Lawrence Fries

Lawrence “Larry” Fries Sr., age 75, long time resident of Franklin Park, passed December 17, 2025. 
Born on November 13, 1950, Larry was the son of Harry and Ruth Fries, who preceded him in death.
Larry was the beloved husband for 50 years to Cheryl, caring father of Jennifer (Henry), Joanna (Butch), Jeanette (Nick), and Lawrence Jr., and proud grandfather of Jessica (Andrew), Jaida (Tim), and Joriann, and great-grandfather of David.

A lifelong model railroad hobbyist, Larry was a member of several clubs over the years, most recently the Valley Model Railroad Club in South Elgin. 
He built a remarkable career spanning fifty years, primarily focusing on computer systems analysis within the I.T. sector.
Larry will be remembered for his love of family, classic western television shows, and his often-vibrant lengthy narratives.

Visitation: Monday, December 22, 2025, 3:00pm - 8:00pm, with a prayer service at 7:30pm.
