Luisa Monroy, born on April 28, 1949, departed this world on December 23, 2025, leaving behind a legacy woven with love, warmth, and cherished memories. She was a devoted partner to her beloved husband, Marcelino, whose companionship enriched her life immensely. Together, they navigated the joys and trials that life presented, embodying a partnership grounded in love and mutual respect.

As a mother, Luisa poured her heart into nurturing her five children: Blanca, Mercedes, Uriel, Carlos, and Alejandro. Her unwavering support and boundless affection shaped their lives, inspiring them to reach for their dreams while imparting the values of kindness and perseverance. Each of her children carries forth her spirit, forever imbued with the lessons learned at her side.

Luisa's heart expanded further with the arrival of her grandchildren—Odalis, Alejandro, Jocelyn, Uriel, Samantha, Alexis, Jessica, Marvin, Giovani, Cristian, Zaria, Aidet, Carlos, Jesus, Daniel, Jesse, Brian, Nancy, Daisy, Alex, and Danny. Each grandchild was a shining star in her life, and she reveled in the joy and laughter they brought to her days. She cherished the special moments shared together, creating a tapestry of memories that will be treasured for generations to come.

Her affection was not limited to her family, as she also held a special place in her heart for her pet, Chicharito, whose presence brought her comfort and companionship.

In honoring Luisa's life, friends and family will gather for visitation on January 2, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral and Crematorium, located at 9568 Belmont Ave, Franklin Park, IL. A Mass will be held in her memory at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, 9613 Schiller Blvd, Franklin Park, IL, on January 3, 2026, at 10:30 AM, providing an opportunity for all who loved her to pay their respects and celebrate her remarkable life.

Luisa Monroy will be remembered not only for her steadfast love and devotion to her family but also for the indelible mark she has left on the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
