Margaret A. Lechman

With hearts full of gratitude and sorrow, we announce the passing of Margaret Lechman on Saturday, October 10th. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph J. Lechman. Margaret is survived by her children; JoAnne (Robert) Merkle, Joseph (Deborah) Lechman; her grandchildren; Joseph (Svelta) Lechman, Laura Merkle, Jennifer (Ayub) Rangoonwala, Emily Merkle; her great grandchildren; Liliana, Eleanor, Joseph. Margaret was born on July 18, 1929 in Ironwood Michigan. She began her career as a telephone operator where she got to do her favorite thing every day; talk to people. Margaret embraced life for all 97 years with remarkable spirit and authenticity. Bold, resilient, tenacious, courageous, and thoughtful, she approached every day with purpose. She rarely sat still, finding joy in caring for her home, making memories with family, playing bingo and slot machines, and dancing the polka.
