Marilyn P. Bristen

Loving wife of the late Gerald Bristen. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on November 15, 2019. They were together for 58 years. Gerald was Marilyn's first and only love.

Beloved daughter of the late Edward and the late Marion.

Devoted mother to Debra (Pierre) and Jill (Kevin).

Cherished grammy to Justin, Ryan, Michael, & Ava.

Dear sister of Carolyn (the late Alex), the late Lynn (the late Frank), and Lois (the late Jim).

Pet mother of Stella. Preceded by her pets Peaches, Holly, and Charlotte.

Pet grammy of Cupcake, Tyson, Jordan, and Kiwi. Preceded by Honey, Rocky, Fluffy, and Rex the Bearded Dragon.

Great pet grammy to Coco.

Marilyn will be remembered for her love of making homecooked meals. She was known as Mrs. Clean and took pride in her home. She was an avid lover of animals. She enjoyed holidays, especially Halloween, where she actively participated and took great joy in scaring people and trick or treating.

Marilyn cherished her grandchildren. She earned the title of "Grammy" because she was much more than a grandmother.

Marilyn carried herself with great strength though her numerous health battles.

She will be dearly missed.

A celebration of life mass will be held at Saint Cyprian Church in River Grove on Friday February 27, 2026 at 12:00PM.

Entombment to follow in Christ the King Mausoleum at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
