"We think about you always, we talk about you still. You have never been forgotten, and you never will. We hold you close within our hearts and there you will remain, to walk and guide us through our lives, until we meet again.”
Mary Ann O’Donnell passed away on April 14, 2025.
She was born on March 6, 1940, in Chicago, IL.
She was the beloved daughter of the late Frank and Mary (nee Ridge) Pasieta.
Bunny, as she was affectionately known, was the life of the party, with a rare gift of making others smile and laugh, leaving a lasting impact on all who crossed her path.
Her journey on earth was one marked by love and compassion, as evidenced by decades of volunteer work across organizations she was most passionate about, including: Girl Scouts of the USA, Illinois State Trooper Wife’s Association, Franklin Park Chamber, and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.
Most recently she was a member of the Friends of the Franklin Park Library, the American Legion, and the Women of the Moose Chapter 780, where she earned her Collegian title and served as the President of the Senior Club.
When she wasn’t volunteering, she enjoyed painting, sewing, and testing her luck with the nickel machines at the casino.
Over the years, she wore many hats ranging from PTA member, scout leader, and proud owner of Bunny’s Hair Hut.
Those that were lucky enough to know her, knew her proudest role of all was mother, grandmother, and “auntie.”
She is survived by her daughter Darlyn Valentina Bainter, grandchildren Michael William Banakis, Kimberly Bainter, and Kyle Bainter, and many loving cousins who she fondly thought of as her nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter Deirdre Joan Banakis.
