After a difficult 2020, we are finally able to gather to celebrate the life of Patti Ferraro. We thank you for the kindness and support you gave to our family during this sad time in our lives.
Patricia M. Ferraro (neé Connolly) passed away peacefully, surrounded by those who loved her. She was 86 years old. Patti was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, and her brothers. Wife to Michael J. Ferraro, mother to Michael F. Ferraro (Anne Berg) and Matthew J. Ferraro, and Nana to Connolly, Adam, and Kate Ferraro.
Born into a disadvantaged family in pre-World War II England, and orphaned by age 13, Patti overcame numerous challenges to be able to come to the United States and have a family and wonderful friends. We will miss her infectious smile, her sense of humor, and the sparkle in her eye that she retained until the end.
A memorial mass will be held at 10am, Saturday, June 5, 2021 at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, 9613 Schiller Blvd, Franklin Park, IL 60131. The mass will be immediately followed by inurnment at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Belmont & Cumberland Avenues, River Grove, IL 60171.
We appreciate your memories of, and prayers for, Patti. We encourage anyone who would like to donate in her memory, to donate to the Alzheimer's Association, a Chicago-based charity dedicated to finding a cure: https://www.alz.org.
With sincere gratitude,
The Ferraro Family
