It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Pauline M. Giviens, nee Heidorn, who left this world on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the age of 76. Pauline's life was a tapestry woven with love, resilience, and devotion, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Born on June 18, 1949, Pauline was the cherished daughter of the late Howard and the late Mary Heidorn. She grew up surrounded by family, learning the importance of love and connection that would shape the treasure of her relationships throughout her life. She was a devoted mother to the late Renay Marie Giviens, whose memory she carried with her every day—a testament to the deep bond they shared.
Pauline had a close relationship with her siblings, a loving sister to Howard Jr, Edward, and James, sister-in-law to Bonnie, Barbara, Sandra, and Robin. She is preceded in death by her brothers William and John, as well as her sister-in-law Carol. Despite these heart-wrenching losses, Pauline was a beacon of strength, always ready to lend support and love to her family and friends.
Her presence in the lives of many was immense; she was not just an aunt but a confidante and friend to countless individuals, each feeling the warmth of her kindness and the depth of her compassion. Pauline's spirit was a source of joy, and her laughter could brighten even the darkest days.
A visitation honoring her life will take place on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home & Crematorium, 9568 Belmont Ave, Franklin Park, IL 60131. A prayer service will be held that same evening at 7:00 PM, allowing all who knew her to gather in remembrance and embrace the love that Pauline so generously shared.
Pauline M. Giviens will be profoundly missed but will live on in the hearts of all those she touched. May her legacy of love inspire us to hold dear the moments we have and cherish the bonds of family and friendship.
