Raymond Podgorski
Jan 19,1931 -July 21 , 2026
Raymond John Podgorski
It is with deep sorrow that we sadly announce the passing of our Dear Father,
Raymond John Podgorski on July 21, 2026, at the age of 95.
Raymond was a loving father and grandfather and was aways there for us to offer his
support, advice and a much needed hug.
Loving Husband of Marilyn Podgorski for 67 years.
Beloved son of Edward and Frances Podgorski.
Devoted father to Michael (Deborah), James (Maria) and Laura (John).
Cherished Grandfather to Daniel, Lauren, Rachel and Sarah.
Dear brother of Leonard, Edwin, Robert, Lorraine and Harold.
Fond uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Raymond proudly served in the U.S. Airforce and was trained as an Aircraft Mechanic.
Upon returning home from his military service he held several jobs as a
mechanic/machinist and after several years was the proud owner of his own business
“Accurate Equipment”. He left the business and went to work for Binks Manufacturing in
which he retired from at the age of 65.
During his early retirement years, he started a lawn mowing/snow shoveling business in
which many of his neighbors were customers. He enjoyed taking the family dogs for
daily walks, going up town to a local restaurant with his wife Marilyn to have breakfast,
picking apples from the backyard trees and watching the Bears games on Sundays. As
he got older he looked forward to our visits which always meant a Dunkin coffee.
We would like to thank all the hospice staff from Loyola for the compassion and care
they provided for our Dad as well as his caregivers, Pasha and Stephanie. We are
forever grateful.
We welcome all family and friends to join us in celebrating the life of Raymond who was
deeply loved by his family and will be missed by all.
