Richard Anthony Piotrowski

Beloved husband of 57 years to Diane Piotrowski (Bessert).
Loving father of son Michael Piotrowski and daughter Laurel Mehl (Piotrowski).
Proud grandfather of Megan Shanafelt (Mehl) and Paige Piotrowski. 
Brother of Rosanne Toberman and Jerry Piotrowski.
Uncle of Brian and Erica.
Richard was preceded in death by his father Henry A. Piotrowski, his mother Ardis I. (Christensen), and sister Irene Rodgers (Piotrowski).

Richard was a graduate of Grayslake High School class of 1959.
After graduating he entered the US Navy where he traveled the world for a total of 30 years.
He retired active duty as an Aviation Storekeeper AK1 in 1979 after which he served active reserve from 1979-1989. 

In Richard's spare time he enjoyed fishing, gardening, bowling, going on road trips, and spending time with his granddaughters.
He also enjoyed watching many sports especially his favorite teams, The Chicago Bears and The Chicago Cubs. 

Richard will be missed by many but will be remembered for his heartwarming smile, infectious laugh, gentle soul, and fun-loving personality.
