Robert Toben

Robert Lorrie Toben (Rob, Bob) passed away peacefully in Chicago on April 1st, 2025 at the age of 89.

Preceded in passing by his beloved father Joseph Toben and his beloved mother Mollye Manalan Toben and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear old friends. Survived by his cherished long-time companion Linda Zelencik and by his beloved brother Byron Toben and dear sister-in-law Bonnie Lee Smith, both of Montreal.

For many years worked professionally as an Architect, and toward the end of his career, as a Civil Project Engineer. In his early years, he worked as a sculptor, painter, cartoonist, and author. In retirement, he enjoyed walking, following the news, and cartooning.

There will be no funeral services. In remembrance, please do good deeds for those in need. His last thoughts and words were to wish peace and blessings to all.
