Born in Appleton, WI, Ron was known to many as the “Cadillac Man” and had many
adventures in his 85 years. The oldest of 7 children, Ron enlisted in the Army in the late
sixties as a medic (1967-1969) and later worked for decades at M&M Mars as a
chocolate maker much to his children’s delight. He is survived by his three children-
Barbara, Sandra, and Robert (Debra)- 7 grandchildren – and soon to be 5 great
grandchildren. After retirement, Ron and his life partner Lola traveled to all 50 states
mostly by van and Cadillac. He never owned a computer, and didn’t have a cell phone
until late in the 2010’s. He was a collector of M&M memorabilia, all things eagles, and a
very proud Cadillac owner. He will be deeply missed by all.
