Ruth Chandler

Ruth Chandler passed away peacefully on October 20, 2026, at the age of 103. 

Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband Warren Chandler. She was the beloved daughter of the late Henry and Ruth Lang Dienberg. She was the devoted mother of Linda Herff. She was the cherished grandmother of Steven Herff and Jason Herff, the valued great-grandma of Jessica Samson, Alex Stegman, and Sara Boyce, and was the treasured great-great grandmother to William, Caroline, Luke, Emma, Mason, Reid, Drew, and Graham. She was the dear sister of Alice, Robert, Edna, Betty, Jimmy, Clarence, and Gladys. Ruth was the fond aunt to Bill, Lynn, Michael, Kathy, Jim, Rusty John, Kenny, Bobby, and Gladys. She was the best friend to Mary. 

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Homemakers Club and the Red Hats. She also enjoyed going to exercise classes. As an avid bird watcher she enjoyed spending her time outdoors and cherished the peace that nature brought to her. Rooted in Christ, Ruth was a member of First United Methodist Church of Bensenville. 

She will be missed deeply by all those who loved and knew her.
