Grandmother of Abigail Wahl, Judith (Josh) Witvoet, Jennifer (Chris) Turnblom, Cassie (Tony) Navarro, Matthew (Loren) Nelson, Colleen Virzi, Nelson Virzi, Linnea Virzi, Lennart Virzi, Nicole Virzi, Madelyn Virzi, Erik Esswein, Luke Esswein, Kirk Esswein, and Kira Esswein.

Great grandmother of Emma Turnblom, Caroline Turnblom.

Ruth was a member of the River Grove American Legion Post Women's Auxillary.

She was an active and long time member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Family and friends will gather at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home & Crematorium, 9568 Belmont Ave., Franklin Park for a visitation Friday, February 19, 2016 from 3 pm to 9 pm.

Ruth will be lying in state at Bethlehem Lutheran Church 2634 Oak St., River Grove on Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 9:00 am until time of service 10:00 AM.
