Sophie Tybon

It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce that Sophie passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 16, 2021.

After the death of her Husband Walter, she lived in Schiller Park for many wonderful years

She is preceded in death by her sisters: Helen (John) Klugiewicz & Florence (George) Domrzalski and brothers: Joseph (Louann) Sowa, Edward (Louise) Sowa, Frank (Lorraine) Sowa and Chester Sowa.
She was the loving step-mother of Dan Tybon, Ron (Marta) Tybon, Karen Tybon, James (Jan) Tybon and Tom Tybon.

She also leaves behind many Nieces and Nephews: Sharon, Jacqueline, LouAnn, Tom, Anthony, Frank Jr., Robert, Loritta, Michael, Steven, Dennis and Barbara, as well as many Great Nieces and Nephews.

She was a surrogate grandmother to: Jeff, Jordan, Joelle, Philip, Randy, and Wayne and she recognized eleven Great Grand Children as her own (Mary, Alex, Lorelai, Daitona, Airick, Jaxsin, Ruby, Juno, Michael, Serra and Kalena)

Sophie loved her real and extended family.  She hosted many holidays and dinners.  We will all miss those occasions and her cooking.

Sophie was a devote Catholic and attended church regularly. Her funeral mass will be held on Friday May 21, 2021 at Saint Gertrude’s Church in Franklin Park at 10:30 AM

A Celebration of Sophie's Life will be held this summer, exact date and location to be announced at a later date.
