Sophie V. Zmudka nee Merchut Sophie just celebrated her 100th birthday in April this year. Passed away peacefully on June 19, 2013 in the care of the Chateau Nursing Home in Willowbrook, Illinois. She has been a life long resident of Chicago, Illinois. Sophie was the beloved wife of the late Alex, and loving sister of the late Joseph Merchut, Anna Marsick, Estelle Bottorff, and Julian (Jim) Merchut. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. A private family service has been planned. Sophie will be interred at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove, Illinois.
