Texie Dorn

Texie Moore Van Dorn passed on September 3, 2017. Texie was a homeowner in Franklin Park for 50 years and most recently a resident at Bridgeway Senior Living in Bensenville for almost 13 years. Born in Richmond, Kentucky on January 20, 1924 to the late Bryant and Ellie Newby of Berea, Kentucky. Loving mother of Theodore Franklin, Jr (Patti) Van Dorn and Thomas Bryant (Debbie) Van Dorn; fond grandmother of Nathan Thomas (Katie) Van Dorn, Theodore Franklin, III (Meghan) Van Dorn, Timothy Moore (Liz) Van Dorn and the late Cole Bryant Van Dorn; proud great grandmother of Cameron, Colin, Vera, Luke and Finley; treasured sister of the late Jewel Tevis-McGuffey; dear aunt of the late Shelby (Nancy) Tevis, the late Charlotte (Kelly) Beaver and the late Topple McGuffey; great-great aunt of Katie, Sarah, Bradley and Brandon.
