Vivian Gesse passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the age of 95.

Beloved daughter of Robert and Lucille Putnin.
Loving wife of Robert B. Gesse.
Devoted stepmother to George (Patricia) Gesse, Michael (Lorraine) Gesse, and Mark Gesse.
Cherished grandmother of Mathew and John Gesse, Lenore (Scott) Shorter, Michelle Awad, Beth (Andrew) Woodworth, and Sarah (Keith) Szalai.
Treasured great grandmother of Emily Shorter, Landon, Kahlyn, and Austin Woodworth, Addyson, Josiah, and Caleb Awad, and Peyton and Brady Szalai.

Vivian worked as an Administrative Assistant for a Lawyer in Chicago and for Chicago Motor Club.
She and her husband, Robert, took great pleasure in attending plays and traveling together.
Vivian also enjoyed playing cards with her neighbors.

Interment will be held at 11:00am on Monday, September 28, 2026, in the chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery, 3100 Thatcher Avenue, River Grove, Illinois, 60171.
