In Loving Memory of Our Beloved Mother & Grandmother
Our hearts are heavy, yet filled with gratitude, as we remember María Yolanda González vda. de Olvera — a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother — who peacefully entered eternal rest at the age of 93 on October 26, 2025.
Born on July 7, 1932, in Monterrey, Nuevo León, she carried with her the warmth, strength, and traditions of her Mexican roots wherever she went. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures—rolling out fresh tortillas de harina by hand, preparing tamales for every celebration, and, of course, her joyful “tongui que tongui.” Her home was always filled with laughter, love, and the delicious aroma of her cooking.
She now rejoins the love of her life, Francisco Olvera, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, faith, and companionship. Together again, they dance in Heaven as they once did here on earth—hand in hand.
Her legacy lives on through her children, Ely, Verónica, and Frank, her many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren—each one blessed by her kindness, stories, and unconditional love. Though we will miss her dearly, we take comfort in knowing she is home, reunited with her beloved husband.
“Siempre juntos, hasta en el cielo.”
(“Always together, even in Heaven.”)
