Obituary

Gertrude (Dyrda) Gutkowski, 96, was born on March 27, 1925, to Frank and Maryann (Paluch) Dyrda in Chicago Heights, Illinois.
She passed away quietly at St Andrews Nursing Home, Niles, Illlinois, on March 27, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bruno Gutkowski who passed on August 27, 1976, and her youngest son Ronald Gutkowski who passed on May 23, 2017; as well her sisters and brothers Eleanor Kolodzinski, Florie Cianelli, Dorie Hansen, Eddie Dydra and Tom Dydra; brother-in-law Anthony Kolodzinski, and sisters-in-law Glorianne Dydra, and Margaret (Farley)  Hansen.
Gertrude is survived by her son Robert and his wife Carol (Ziaja) Gutkowski, Ron's wife Franette (Ottolino) Gutkowski; her grandchildren Jennifer Gutkowski (Josh Cyrus), Brian Gutkowski (Renee Dornfeld), and Veronica (William) Daigh; her great-grandchildren Annabelle Gutkowski and Rhys Daigh; her brothers-in-law Sam Cianelli and Don Hansen; her sister-in-law Lois Dyrda; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at 10:00am with an 11:00am mass to follow at St Celestine's Church, a grave side service will be held at St Joseph's Cemetery immediately following the mass.
