Madhu Vermani passed away on June 8, 2020 in Oak Park, IL.
She was born on July 27, 1948, in Ludhiana India.
She moved to the United States after getting married to her husband Satyendra Vermani in 1971.
Together they began their life in Carbondale, IL, where her daughter, Nisha, was born.
She moved to St. Charles, MO, in 1978 where she had her son, Anoop in 1981.
Madhu was known for her wonderful sense of humor, her amazing cooking, and her love for her family and friends.
Her incredible patience was known to everyone, and it is what drew people to her.
She was also deeply religious and felt a strong connection to God, always encouraging others to pray and be peaceful with others.
In 2001 she was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.
Over her 19 year battle with cancer, she remained strong and fought her battle with grace.
Madhu moved back to Chicago in 2017 to be closer to her children and grandchildren.
She passed away in the care of her family at home.
She is survived by her husband Satyendra, her sisters Neelam and Sunita, her children Nisha and Anoop, her daughter in law Kavita, her grand children Simryn and Ishaan, and many more extended family members.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be sent to the Siteman Cancer center where Madhu received wonderful care for her treatment of Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

Due to COVID 19, we are requesting a virtual visitation. The Puja (religious service) will take place from 2:00pm -3:00pm. The memorial service will start at approximately 3:00 pm.
