Raymond, 56 years old, of Melrose Park, was called to heaven on June 8, 2022, surrounded by his family.
Loving husband of Bridget Mary Gunther. Cherished best friend and father of Brendan Ray Gunther.
Ray was born in Chicago, and grew up in Antioch, IL. He was a devoted father and husband.
Ray enjoyed boating and spending time at the Chain O' Lakes with family and friends.
He was a proud member of the Sprinkler Fitter Union, Local 281, retiring in June of 2021.
Beloved son of Richard W. Gunther, Sr (Mary), and the late Geraldine H. Pumford (Russell).
Dearest brother of Rick Gunther (Debbie), Ronda Zielinski (Andrew), Lisa Guziec (Darrell), Wendy Pumford, William Gunther (Bobbi), and Elinor Holloman (Jim).
Fond uncle to many nieces and nephews, and dear friend to many.
Visitation for Raymond will begin on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm.
Family and friends will gather at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home on Monday, June 13, 2022 for the funeral service at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow the funeral service at Mount Emblem Cemetery, in Elmhurst.
