Virginia A. Levy (nee Heller), 91, passed away October 15, 2020, in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
She was born in Chicago on April 20, 1929, to the late Sophie (nee Homantowska) and Gustav Heller and was one of 9 children.
In 1952, she married Robert J. Levy. They were married for 57 years and were longtime residents of River Grove, Illinois, until he preceded her in death.
Together they had one daughter, Karen (Russell) Maher, who survives.
Virginia is also survived by one sister, Nancy (the late Mortimer) O’Leary of Plano, Texas, and countless nieces and nephews.
During her lifetime, Virginia was a licensed practical nurse and a homemaker. She enjoyed hobbies of flying, boating and cycling with her husband and daughter, but her fondest memories were of just being able to spend time with family and friends. She was a devoted caretaker, daughter, wife, mother, sister, aunt, advisor and friend.
Family and friends will gather at Sax-Tiedemann Funeral Home on Friday, October 23, 2020, from 9:30am until 11:00am prayers.
A procession will drive to St. Cyprian Catholic Church for an 11:30am Mass.
Following mass a procession will drive to Maryhill Cemetery for the rights of Christian Burial.
